I already have a Mailjet Account, how can I integrate this one with Scope?
Great to hear that you already manage your subscribers in Mailjet. We only need a few details to get started.
You will find and configure the first elements in your “Account settings”:
API Keys
The Scope Software uses these API Keys to download the list of recipients and then send the emails via your Mailjet account. Scope does not need any username/password based access to your Mailjet account.
We need both values, the "API KEY“ as well as the “SECRET KEY".
DNS Settings / Sender Email
Anyone sending email trough an Email-Service-Provider such as Mailjet or Mailchimp has to ensure that the desired email address of the sender that is used for the Newsletters is correctly setup.
Depending on your current usage of Mailjet this might be already set up and in this case we only need the desired email address listed under "Add a Sender Domain or Address“:
A valid example in this case would be "hello@thescope.com“.
In case there are no sender emails configured yet, please add the desired one by clicking "Add a sender address“.
Important: Please also ensure that the DKIM/SPF Settings are setup correctly. You’ll find them under "Setup SPF/DKIM Authentication“:
All the domains that have been used in the previous step ("Add a Sender Domain or Address“) are automatically listed:
Please ensure that you get an "OK“ Status for both columns by following the guidelines linked on this screen ("set up SPF and DKIM authentication“). These steps require changes in the DNS Settings of the affected domain. Please get in touch with your IT department in case of any questions and make sure to reach out to us in case we might be able to help.
Recipients
As part of the Scope setup we configure a list of recipients that will end up with the newsletter in their inbox. You will find the lists by clicking "Contacts / Contact lists“:
Once you’ve decided on a list of recipients open this list by clicking on its name and then send us the “Email“ of this list:
Important: It’s encouraged to start with a small, internal test-list and configure this one when you start with a new newsletter project. Once you are happy with your test-newesletters we will happily switch to the "live“ list of recipients for you.
