Integration of a CRM, e.g. Salesforce Pardot
Scope can not only distribute e-mails out of the box or publish to Social Media. It’s also possible to integrate almost any CRM or Newsletter-Software with an existing API (see also the entry on first steps). This has the major advantage that our customers can use the benefits of Scope itself and their existing Marketing-Automation-Tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Salesforce Pardot.
This entry explains how the integration of Salesforce Pardot can be done (others are quite similar).
1. E-Mail-Template in MJML
Scope needs a complete E-Mail-Template of the clients newsletter in MJML to push the content to any CRM.
2. Discover & Curate within Scope
Before pushing any content to a CRM, the desired articles have to be found, selected and curated in the Scope Content Suite. This can be done by the client or by the content-team of Scope.
3. Control the look & feel in the preview mode or a test-newsletter
Have a look at the e-mail-preview or send out a test-newsletter to control that everything is in place.
4. Push the complete E-Mail-Template to your CRM
Text the desired subject and push the newsletter from Scope to CRM, in this case Salesforce Pardot.
5. Process the E-Mail in your CRM
A few seconds later, the e-mail arrives in your CRM.
In Salesforce Pardot it’s technically not possible, to send it as a Draft. Therefore it has to be scheduled for 7 days, that it’s not sent out automatically without any control.
6. Cancel the scheduled e-mail and edit completion actions
When the client cancels the scheduled e-mail, it’s now a draft and the completion actions can be taken. For example the client can ad scoring points for clicking.
7. Content-wise edits should not be made in the CRM
It’s theoretically possible, to edit the e-mail within the CRM. But it’s risky, that the e-mail will not be properly displayed in every e-mail-client of the recipients. Therefore we recommend to edit it in Scope and repush it to the CRM. As a client curating by yourself, please contact the Customer Success Team of Scope in such a case.
